Classes and the City
The final week has begun and there is still so much on the schedule for the 2016 Estancia Delegation. Monday and Tuesday was spent participating in classes with teachers of Hoppers Crossing Secondary College and the final city day exploring the Shrine of Remembrance and Escape Rooms.
The Debutante Ball & Phillip Island
The 2016 Debutante Ball was a great night for the Estancia Delegation to witness a unique tradition not practiced in their homeland. Students also had an amazing experience to Phillip Island where they got to witness the famous penguin parade!
Day 11 & 12 – Queen Victoria Market & The University of Melbourne
The Eagles have well and truly settled into the cold Melbourne winter and have been busy taking in the sights of the beautiful University of Melbourne and participating in a number of classes with their host families.

The 2016 Delegation have settled into Hoppers Crossing Secondary College and taken in the sights and sounds of Melbourne around the Docklands, Ballarat Wildlife Park and and exciting AFL match!
The Eagles – The first four days
The 2016 Estancia Eagles have landed in Melbourne and have already done so much in such a short amount of time. They were welcomed to the College with a whole school assembly and were asked to try Vegemite for the first time in front of the whole school!
The Great Ocean Road Trip
The 2016 Delegation embarked on a two day adventure of the amazing Great Ocean Road. The Delegation saw the 12 Apostles, The Otway National Park, emjoyed a helicopter ride along the coastline and shopped up a storm at the iconic Rip Curl store.
Episode 6 2016 – The one about ‘The Athletics Carnival’
Episode 6 of Hoppers TV showcases not only one but two carnivals held at Hoppers Crossing Secondary College. The Athletics Carnival was a huge success where students were able to show their athletic abilities. The second carnival allowed students to practice their business skills by running a small business within the school and selling goods to the other students. As always we have our favourite segment Street Talk!!
Newsline Issue 4 – 23rd June 2016
Term 2 wraps up after what has been an extremely busy time. In true Hoppers Crossing Secondary College style, students have risen to the challenge in many ways. Many took up leadership opportunities, sat Improvement Tests, undertook Work Experience, competed for championship points at the Annual Athletics Carnival and enjoyed the extreme talent of our senior students who performed at the Senior Music Night. In episode 5 of Hoppers TV, we interview some of the highest achievers at the College, including an amazing student rock group, a clay shooter and two students who took the ultimate challenge and walked the Kokoda Trail. We also take to the school yard for our street talk as well as a glimpse into next weeks episode.
